Drogheda (In Irish: Droichead Atha, meaning “Bridge at the Ford”) is a medieval town with abundant history to be explored.

Drogheda is a medieval town with unexpected magic and lore. Walled fortifications from the 13th Century are sprinkled throughout the town, including Lawrence’s Gate, one of the best examples of a 13th C. Barbican, and Millmount Fort that dominates the Drogheda sky line. A unique experience awaits within St. Peter’s Church where the head of the 17th Century martyr, Saint Oliver Plunket, resides! Alongside all of this history sits a modern town with all the shopping and gastronomy you could want.

Public transport is available directly from Daly’s that will take you to Drogheda in ten minutes. If you prefer to drive there is plenty of parking available in the town.
