THE BATTLE OF THE BOYNE

The Battle of the Boyne is one of the most famous battles in Ireland. Fought in 1690 between King William on the north side of the river and King James on the south side with the two armies facing each other.

Oldbridge Estate has been redeveloped into The Battle of th Boyne interprative centre and is just a few minutes from our Accommodation. The location has been redeveloped and visitors can retrace the battle and look from various viewpoints
